Remarks. This species was recorded by McClelland (1842) from the Kabul River as Systomus immaculatus , which synonymized with Puntius sarana . According to Bleher (2018), Systomus immaculatus 1839 is a valid species. The occurrence of this species is ambiguous. The presence of the species needs clarification.
