Remarks. Rochinia boucheti Richer de Forges & Ng, 2013 , was described from the Solomon Islands with only two specimens collected between 371 and 456 m. Interestingly, it is more abundant in the PNG collection studied here. The three deep-sea cruises BIOPAPUA, MADEEP, and KAVIENG collected R. boucheti from 421 to 766 m.

The PNG specimens show variations in the number of sharp granules on the carapace (excluding hepatic and lateral branchial spines), with either 17, 19 or 20 granules, and differences in the number of mesogastric granules medially, with either 5 or 6 granules. Rochinia boucheti is recorded for the first time from PNG.
