(Map 1, Figs. 2 View FIGURE 2 , 3 View FIGURE 3 : A–D, 4: B, D)

Male. Body small. Fastigium verticis conical, apex obtuse, furrowed in midline. Eyes oval, protruding outwards. The mandibles are asymmetrical. Left mandible is slightly shorter than right one, teeth prominent, positioned along two-thirds the length of the internal margin; incisor elongate, sharp, dentes sharp; molar area short, low. Right mandible with stout, faintly short, obtuse incisor and sharply dens. Apical segment of maxillary palpi as long as subapical one, apex slightly inflated.

Pronotum short, anterior margin comparatively straight, posterior margin obtusely rounded; lateral lobe longer than high, humeral sinus absent.

Ventral margin of all femora without spines. Procoxa with 1 short spine. Pro- and mesotibia with 4 short internal and 5 long external spines on ventral margin separately, and 1 pair of ventral apical spurs. Tibial tympana open on internal and external sides, oval. Genicular lobes of postfemur with apices obtuse; posttibia with 20–21 dorsal spines on each side, 1 pair of dorsal apical spurs and 2 pairs of ventral apical spurs.

Tegmina short, slightly surpassing posterior margin of pronotum, reaching the middle area of the third abdominal tergite, sometimes completely covered by metazona, extending the middle area of the second abdominal tergite. Costal field faintly widened at base and tapering towards apex; tegminal venation strongly reduced; veins Sc and R close together, parallel along their entire length; stridulatory area of left tegmen with large, fully developed, roughly right-angled trapezoid mirror. Stridulatory file elevated on thickened vein, obviously sinuous in proximal fourth, arc-shaped, 0.491mm long, with 64–66 teeth, the teeth robust near base, very small and dense near apex. Hind wings absent.

Posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite with 1 faintly concavity in middle. Basal half of cerci stout, internal margin of basal half lobated expansion, apical area of interno-dorsal lobe with 1 rectangle internal lobe, middle area of interno-ventral lobe with 1 small semicircular lobe; apical half spine-shaped, apex subacute. Subgenital plate with base broad, narrowing, basal margin arched excavate; lateral margins curved dorsad; centre of posterior margin slightly projecting. Subapex of subgenital plate with thin, long and compressed styli on ventral margin, the apices subacute.

Female. Appearance is similar to male. Lateral margin of ninth abdominal tergite arched concave; posterior margin of tenth abdominal tergite with 1 faintly concavity in middle. Epiproct tongue-shaped. Cerci conical, apices acute. Ovipositor gently curved upwards, base stout, narrowing, dorsal valvulae slightly longer than or as long as ventral ones; dorsal valvulae sharply pointed and ventral ones with 1 small terminal hook. Subgenital plate comparatively short and broad, basal half nearly rectangle, apical half triangle, centre of basal margin slightly straight; lateral margins slightly curved ventrad; centre of posterior margin with 1 shallowly concavity.

Coloration. Body yellowish brown (discoloured as originally conserved in alcohol). Internal margin of antennal socket black brown, scape and pedicel light brown, flagellum yellowish brown, with some annulate brown stripes. Eyes black brown. Dorsum of head with 4 black brown stripes: outer stripes extending to internal margin of antennal socket, medial stripes fused in fastigium verticis. Disc of pronotum brown, outer area slightly lighter, which extending the middle area of metazona. Apices of tegmina black brown. Apices of genicular lobes of femora and tibiae black brown. Basal area, spines and apical spurs of posttibia light brown. Dorsum of abdominal tergites light brown, lateral margin black brown, sternites light brown. Lateral margins of male subgenital plate black brown.

Measurements (mm). Body: 37.4–8.4, Ƥ8.0–8.4; pronotum: 33.9–4.0, Ƥ4.2–4.5; tegmen: 31.6–2.1, Ƥ1.8–2.0; postfemur: 37.9–8.7, Ƥ9.1–9.5; ovipositor: 5.6–6.3.

Remarks. The new species is most closely related to Phlugiolopsis mistshenkoi ( Gorochov, 1993) . It differs from the latter species in: basal half of male cerci lobated expansion on internal margin, apical area of interno-dorsal lobe with 1 rectangle internal lobe, middle area of interno-ventral lobe with 1 small semicircular lobe; apical half of male subgenital plate narrowing, centre of posterior margin slightly projecting; female subgenital plate comparatively short and broad, basal half nearly rectangle, apical half triangle, centre of posterior margin with 1 shallowly concavity.

Etymology. This new species is named in honor of Dr. Jian-Hua Huang who help us collect many specimens in Guangxi.

Distribution. China (Guangxi).
