( Figs. 1–10 View FIGURES 1–5 View FIGURES 6–10 )
Diagnosis. Frons wider than long and parallel-sided, with two black longitudinal stripes along fronto-orbital rows and one triangular black longitudinal stripe extending from ocellar triangle to anterior margin of frons; the tip and dorsal margin of first flagellomere brown; mesonotum with a pair of black median longitudinal stripes and a pair of post-sutural black lateral longitudinal stripes; abdominal tergite 1 brownish yellow, anterior margin of tergite 2 with one triangular brownish yellow area.
Description. MALE. Body length 3.8 mm, wing length 5.0 mm. FEMALE. Body length 3.5–3.8 mm, wing length 4.6–4.9 mm.
Head ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 ) blackish brown, with grayish white pruinescence. Parafacial yellow, brown between eye and antennal bases. Frons brownish yellow except anterior margin yellow, wider than long and parallel-sided, with two black longitudinal stripes along fronto-orbital rows and one triangular black longitudinal stripe extending from ocellar triangle to anterior margin of frons; ocellar triangle black, ocellar setae almost as long as reclinate anterior fronto-orbital setae, which are shorter than posterior fronto-orbital setae. Gena about 1/6 height of eye. Antenna yellow, tip and dorsal margin of first flagellomere brown, 1.7 times longer than high; arista blackish brown except paler basally, pubescent with longest setulae shorter than 1/2 height of first flagellomere. Proboscis blackish brown, with white and black setulae; palpus black with black setulae.
Thorax ( Fig. 4 View FIGURES 1–5 ) blackish brown, with grayish white pruinescence. Mesonotum with a pair of black median longitudinal stripes and a pair of post-sutural black lateral longitudinal stripes. 0+3 dorsocentral setae; acrostichal setulae in eight rows; a pair of strong prescutellar setae, as long as first post-sutural dorsocentral seta, and closer to scuto-scutellar suture than third post-sutural dorsocentral seta. One anepisternal seta, two katepisternal setae. Fore legs blackish brown, fore tibia and tarsi yellow at base; mid and hind femora blackish brown, tibia yellow at base, with brown ring at basal 1/3 and apex, tarsi yellow except brown at tip. Fore femur with eight posterior dorsal setae, eight posterior setae and six posterior ventral setae; fore tibia with one dorsal preapical seta and one short apical ventral seta. Mid femur with six anterior setae; mid tibia with one strong dorsal preapical seta and one strong apical ventral seta. Hind femur with two preapical anterior dorsal setae; hind tibia with one dorsal preapical seta. Wing ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–5 ) hyaline and yellow at base; costa with 2nd (between R 1 and R 2+3), 3rd (between R 2+3 and R 4+5), and 4th (between R 4+5 and M 1) sections in proportion of 13.7: 4.1: 2.0; r-m before middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M 1 in proportion of 9.8: 6.6; ultimate section of CuA 1 about 1/6 of penultimate. Haltere pale yellow.
Abdomen ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ) mostly blackish brown, with grayish white pruinescence, tergite 1 brownish yellow, anterior margin of tergite 2 with one triangular brownish yellow area. Male genitalia ( Figs. 6–10 View FIGURES 6–10 ): syntergosternite circular. Epandrium nearly trapeziform, surstylus broad in lateral view; hypandrium with a pair of short inner processes. Postgonite tapering apically, curved inwards in lateral view.
