Additional material examined. BRASIL: Mato Grosso: 3 males, Nossa Senhora do Livramento, Pantanal do Poconé, Fazenda Retiro Novo, January 2004 – March 2005, L.D. Battirola ( IBSP 120580, 120589, 120591).

Etymology. The specific name refers to the plant in which these spiders were collected, namely Vo c h y s i a divergens ( Vochysiaceae ). Noun in genitive case.

Diagnosis. This species is very similar to both K. paulista sp. nov. and K. adisi sp. nov. by the embolus curving far from the tegulum, but differs from the latter species by having a very wide RTA, with the median part forming a ventral bump ( Fig. 28 View FIGURES 23 – 28. K ).

Description. Male holotype: Total length: 3.75. Carapace blackish, 1.60 long, 0.95 wide, 0.50 high, with a small tuft of white scales on the border over the coxa III. Ocular quadrangle 1.00 long. Anterior eye row 0.90 wide and posterior 0.92 wide. Clypeus with white scales. Chelicera dark brown, with 2 teeth on promargin, 1 on retromargin. Endite dark brown, rounded, slightly projected laterally. Labium and sternum dark brown. Palp dark brown, with a very wide RTA, posterior portion of the tegulum projected and embolus curving far from the tegulum ( Figs 27–28 View FIGURES 23 – 28. K ). Legs 4312; I–II yellow, laterally dark brown; III yellow, except for the black femur; IV yellow with black femur and tibia; metatarsus IV laterally dark brown. Length of femur: I 0.57, II 0.50, III 0.55, IV 0.85; patella + tibia: I 0.70, II 0.60, III 0.65, IV 0.87; metatarsus + tarsus: I 0.50, II 0.45, III 0.70, IV 0.82. Spinulation: femur I=II=III=IV d1-1-1; tibia I=II v1 r-0-0, III=IV p1di; metatarsus I v2- 1 p, II v1 r-1p, III=IV p1di, r1di, v2 di. Abdomen dark brown with three transverse, barely conspicuous white stripes; ventrally light brown. Spinnerets dark brown.

Female: Unknown.

Note. Since females are still unknown, this species is tentatively included in the genus based on similarities between the male and males of other species of Kupiuka gen. nov.

Distribution. Known only from the State of Mato Grosso, Brazil.
