Plateros sp. #3 ( Philippines)
Differential diagnosis. Terga T1–T3 and A1–A8 substantially reduced, tergum T1 being 6.3 times longer than the width at the middle; adjacent laterotergites large, with dense small tubercles on surface in posterior part and lateral margins, each tubercle bearing small seta; laterotergites about 1.25 times length of tergum, protracted posteriorly in short process as in Plateros floralis (Miller, 1997) . Spiracular plates protracted in slender process, sterna A1–A8 longitudinally divided, with four setae at posterior margin.
Measurements. BL 12.9 mm, width of mediotergite T1 0.1 mm, PL 0.63 mm.
Material examined. Philippines, W Mindanao, Malindang, v.1996, Bolm lgt., one mature larva ( LMBC) .
Remark. Similar larva was collected in central Kalimantan and it differs in wider mediotergites. This larva was reared to the adult stage (figures 57–58).
