Chinese name: OixẘDz
Etymology. The name refers to the black legs of this species.
Holotype. China: Male, Sichuan, Xichang , Luojishan. 27.578N, 102.425°E. 29-III-2022, coll. Wei Yuan and Chengjie Zheng ( SICAU) GoogleMaps . Paratypes. 2 males & 1 female, same collection information as the holotype ( SICAU) ; 1 male & 2 females, same collection information as the holotype ( SNNU) .
Description. Male ( Figs. 1D View FIGURE 1 , 2A View FIGURE 2 , 4A View FIGURE 4 ) Body medium-sized for the genus. Except distal portion of the fore and mesofemora and the base of the hind tibia dark brown, the remaining parts of the crickets are black.
Head ( Fig. 4E View FIGURE 4 ). Vertex and genae armed with long setae. Compound eyes large, laterally protruding; ocelli present, with compound eyes linked by two light stripes, lateral ocelli absent. Antennal scape cylindrical, narrower than frontal costa; flagellum slender with small villi. Maxillary palpi with the apical segment apically transverse and broad; labial palpi relatively short.
Pronotum ( Figs. 4C, D View FIGURE 4 ). Pronotum covered with fine setae, disc sparsely with long setae; anterior and posterior margin with long setae. Tegmen almost extending to abdominal apex; dorsal field with six elevated longitudinal veins and false veins; transverse veins between longitudinal veins inconspicuous; hindwings absent. Fore femur and fore tibia with short fine hairs; fore tibia with tympanum absent, only a single apical spur; middle tibia with a single apical spur; hind femur dark color, middle tibia with three pairs of dorsal spurs and five apical spurs.
Genitalia ( Figs. 3A, B, C View FIGURE 3 ). In dorsal view, epiphallus broadened, lateral lobe of epiphallus round, tapering with denticulations, curved inward; Ectoparamere short and bifurcated, upper branch hook-like and curved inward.
Female ( Figs. 1C View FIGURE 1 , 2B View FIGURE 2 , 4B View FIGURE 4 ). Body size similar than male; ovipositor blade-shaped.
Measurements. Male (n=2). BL 5.41±0.32, PL 0.88±0.10, TL 2.68±0.12, HFL 3.12±0.15; Female (n=2). BL 5.13±0.41, PL 0.88±0.08, TL 2.73±0.13, MFL 3.68±0.11 PL 0.33±0.10.
Remarks. This new species is distinguished from other members of the genus by the following: black legs, the others are usually light colored. T. nigripes sp. nov. is similar to Trigonidium cicindeloides Rambur, 1838 in ectoparamere (both of them bifurcate), but the upper branch of T. nigripes sp. nov. is longer and more curved; the lower branch is blunt and rounded.
