Ripeacma ellipsoidea Wang , sp. nov.

( Figs 11 View FIGURES 9–14 , 23 View FIGURES 21–26 )

Type material. CHINA, Yunnan: Holotype ♂, Mt. Weibao (25.18°N, 100.34°E), Dali, 2205 m, 1.VIII.2014, leg. KJ Teng et al., slide No. LiSR16270. GoogleMaps

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to R. magnihamata Wang, 2013 (in Yin & Wang 2013) in male genitalia. It can be distinguished by the large ovate juxta with very slender lateral arms, the sacculus with a lanceolate process arising from ventral surface beyond middle, and the aedeagus with a horn-shaped cornutus. In R. magnihamata , the broadly U-shaped juxta is almost uniformly slender, the sacculus lacks a process, and the aedeagus has a cornutus that is uniformly broad basally and narrowed to a hook distally ( Yin & Wang 2013).

Description. Adult ( Fig. 11 View FIGURES 9–14 ). Wingspan 13.0 mm.

Head greyish brown. Labial palpus yellow, except second palpomere black in distal half on ventral surface. Antenna with scape dark brown dorsally, yellow ventrally; flagellum alternately dark brown and yellow.

Thorax brown, with purplish grey shine; tegula dark brown. Forewing dark brown; costal spot yellow, at distal 1/4; discal, discocellular and plical stigmata black; fringe dark brown. Hindwing and fringe brown. Legs yellow; on dorsal surface, femur and tibia of foreleg with dark brown scales, tarsus black on third and fourth tarsomeres, tibia of midleg dark brown, tarsus dark brown at middle of first tarsomere, at base of second and third tarsomeres; on outer surface, tibia of hindleg dark brown, with a yellow stripe at base and middle, tarsus dark brown at apex of first tarsomere and at base of third tarsomere.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 23 View FIGURES 21–26 ). Uncus wide at base, narrowed to basal 2/5, distal 3/5 slightly dilated ovately. Gnathos narrowly banded, ring-like, weakly sclerotized. Tegumen V-shaped, with a large sub-triangular anterior emargination; lateral arm uniformly narrow, twice of median width. Valva narrow basally, widened from basal 1/5 to broadly rounded apex, with a mediolongitudinal bulge bearing long setae running from basal 1/5 to before 2/5; costa banded, reaching basal 3/5 of costal margin, with stout setae basally; transtilla lobes band-shaped, slightly widened apically, far apart from each other mesially; sacculus less than half length of valva, sub-triangular, heavily sclerotized distally, pointed at apex, with a broad lanceolate process arising from ventral surface beyond middle. Saccus triangular, rounded at apex. Juxta horizontally elliptical; lateral arm extremely slender. Aedeagus as long as valva, thickened at basal 1/5, tapered from basal 1/5 to 3/5, tubular distally; cornutus horn-shaped, 1/4 length of aedeagus, placed distally, near its base a tiny spine.

Female unknown.

Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Latin ellipsoideus referring to the shape of the juxta.
