Laemostenus (Arabosphodrus) laserae Casale & Wrase, 2018 (31 July 2018) = Laemostenus (Antisphodrus) hormozi Azadbakhsh & Sciaky, 2018 (18 August 2018), syn. nov.

We have also to stress that the wrong attribution to a different subgenus (Antisphodrus in place of Arabosphodrus) is an error, which negates the high biogeographical importance of this discovery. In fact, L. (A.) laserae is the first representative of Arabosphodrus north of the strait of Ormuz, previously known only from Oman (see Sciaky, 1996). On the contrary, Antisphodrus is represented in Iran by several species of different species groups with completely different morphological characters.
