Taxonomy. Original description: Capoeta barroisi mandica Bianco & Bănărescu, 1982: 90 , figs. 1C, 2C [Mond River, near Dasht-e-Arzhan, Persian Gulf basin, Iran; holotype: IZA 7890 View Materials ] .
