Taxonomy. Original description: Nemacheilus bampurensis Nikolskii, 1900: 414 [40] [Kjagur and Kashin (Kaekin) rivers, Bampur River near Bazman, Iran; syntypes: ZIN 11698-99 View Materials (6+, 4)] .
Revisions. Nalbant & Bianco (1998: 118) as Schistura bampurensis ; Freyhof et al. (2015: 7).
