Lectotype (Snogerup in Bot. Not. 123: 428. 1970): Herb. A. van Royen No. 904.145-425 ( L) .

Current name: Juncus conglomeratus L. ( Juncaceae ).

Note: Dandy (in Watsonia 7: 169. 1969) argued that this is a synonym of J. effusus and selected an apparently ineligible van Royen specimen of J. effusus as the lectotype.
