Remark. Nemobius elegans is mostly characterized by its variegated pattern of coloration (Otte 2006, Fig. 7A–G). The photos of male genitalia given by Otte (2006: Fig. 7H), although not of optimal quality, clearly show the distinctive characters of Hygronemobius , namely the hemispherical shape of ectophallic fold and the divergent and ventrally oriented membranous distal lophi of pseudepiphallus. These traits unambiguously reveal that P. sanaco belongs to Hygronemobius , and we consequently propose this recombination.
