Carineta illustris Distant 1905d: 485 View in CoL (Amazonas).

Remarks. The specimens listed by Sanborn (2011a) of Carineta illustris View in CoL were the only record for the species in French Guiana. These specimens were shown to be the similar species Carineta cearana ( Sanborn 2016a) View in CoL . Carineta illustris View in CoL was removed from the French Guiana cicada fauna at that time.
