Distribution. Central Europe.
Material examined. Kharkiv Prov.: 1 spec. ( KUMN) SEE env. of Kharkiv, Dokuchaeva, N. Yunakov leg., 17.v.1996 ; Kropyvnytskyi Prov. : 1 spec. ( KUMN) Znamenka env., urochische Cherny Les, Korotkova leg., 26.v.1967 .
Biology. Meadows in desiduous forests, floodlands. Adults occur in IV–VI. Polyphagous.
Remark. This species is very similar to Ph. pyri in general appearance and structure of genitalia, but unlike the later it feeds on herbaceous plants.
