Records. ČER IFR LWI ZAK [ Endrődi 1960: 27; Endrődi 1961; Mazur 2002: 234].

Distribution. Alps, Carpathians, South Siberia. In South Siberia it occurs from Altai to Baikal lake.

Material examined. Zakarpatska Prov.: 1 spec. ( KUMN) Mukachevo Distr. , Karpaty, B. Yakushenko leg., 07.viii.1971 ; 2 spec. ( KUMN) 17 km NE Uzhhorod, Kamjanytsya , Lypova Skala Mt. Range, Antolovecka Polyana, V. Mirutenko leg., 30.v.1996 .

Biology. Montane deciduous forests. Adults occur in V–VIII. Polyphagous.

Note. There are two closely related species in South Siberea, O. grandineus Germar, 1824 and O. oberti Faust, 1886 ; the former has unclear status.
