Distribution. Europe, Morocco ( Meregalli & Fremuth 2013).

( SIZK) idem, 3/4/1903; 2f ( KUMN) Yaltinsky Montane Forest Nature Reserve , Utsh-Kosh gorge , KN 03.11.2008, pitfall trap, N.M.Kovblyuk leg., 11.iii.–20.ix.2008 .
Biology. Loess steppe grasslands, limestone slopes. Adults occur in IV–X. Oligophagous on Centaurea spp. ( Asteraceae ). Larva inhabits in the root galls ( Hoffmann 1950; Scherf 1964; Dieckmann 1983; Stejskal 2005).
