Distribution. Europe, Levant, North Africa; introduced in North America ( Alonso-Zarazaga 2011a).

Biology. Coniferous and deciduous forests. Adults occur in IV–X. On Cytisus scoparius (Fabaceae) ( Hoffmann 1958; Smreczyński 1965; Dieckmann 1977; Mazur 2002).
