Pseudepitettix guangxiensis Zheng & Jiang, 1994:36 View in CoL [description] (holotype— ♂, China: Guangxi prov., Shangsi County, Hon- gqi, in IZSNU, examined); Jiang & Zheng, 1998: 274; Liang & Zheng, 1998: 35; Liang & Jiang, 2004: 117; Zheng, 2005: 29; Deng et al., 2007: 29, 402.
Type material examined. Holotype, ♂, China: Guangxi prov., Shangsi County, Hongqi , 29 XI. 2001, IZSNU . Other material examined. 11♂ 10♀, China: Guangxi prov., Shangsi County, Wangle , 23 VII. 2013, EMHU ; 7♂ 15♀, China: Guangxi prov., Fangchen County, Fulong , 20 VII. 2012, EMHU .
Notes. The species has a fastigium of vertex distinctly surpassing anterior margin of eyes as an evenly broad, rounded process; humeral angles of pronotum are absent, and it belongs to Epitettix Hancock, 1907 , not to Pseudepitettix Zheng 1995 . Epitettix guangxiensis is easy to identify: the body is smooth; vertex is much wider than one of the eyes; the pronotum is short, reaching two-thirds of hind femora, and the apex of the hind pronotal process is concave.
Distribution. China (Guangxi).
