Holotype, allotype and 19 paratypes were collected on Quercus calliprinos Webb (on cup of the fruit) at Meron (Hagalil Mt.) on 20th October 1964; it had been found also on Phillyrea latifolia L., Pyrus malus L., Quercus ithaburensis (KotSchy), Styrax officinalis L., Crataegus sp. and Viola sp. The species is reported also from Cisjordan on Olea europaea L. and Syria on Q. calliprinos ( Amitai & Swirski, 1978). The type material is kept in the collection of the Division of Entomology at the Volcani Institute of Agricultural Research, Israel. Paratypes deposited also in the National Museum of Natural History, Paris, France and in the Institute of Acarology, Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, Wooster, Ohio, U.S.A. ( Amitai & Swirski, 1978).
