Type:— Similisinocarum normanianum Cauwet & Farille (1984: 68)
Description:— Plants perennial. Roots fusiform or elongate, vertical or oblique arranged. Stems erect, solitary. Basal leaves simple or pinnate; upwards leaves reduced or absent; ultimate segments elliptic, ovate or near triangular, margin dentate or trilobed, ciliated; basal petiolule obvious, media and upper petiolule absent. Umbel usually solitary or rarely 3 axillary reduced umbels; rays 3–8, equal or subequal, pedicel usually purplish, subequal or unequal; bracts mostly absent, occasionally 1–2, linear, reflex, narrowly white membranous margin, margin serrulate; bracteoles many, linear, reflex, narrowly white membranous margin, margin serrulate. Calyx teeth minute, or conspicuous, triangular or subulate-lanceolate. Petals white or purple, ovate, oblong-ovate or obovate, base clawed, apex acute or slightly obtuse, incurved; stylopodium flat or low-conic; styles obvious. Mericarp oblong-ovoid; ribs 5, filiform; vittae 3–4 in each furrow, 6 on commissure.
