Type genus: Harana Almeida & Carbayo gen. nov.

Diagnosis: Small-sized Geoplaninae with a longitudinal tube located among the fibres of the subintestinal transverse parenchymal muscle. Long pharyngeal pouch, extending behind the copulatory apparatus. Haranini comprises only the genus Harana .

Etymology: The name of the tribe is based on the name of its type genus.

Distribution: Only known from the type locality of the type species.
