Diagnosis. Male forewing R2+3 and R4+5 unbranched. M with five primary branches, M3 and M5 forked. Hindwing venation caeciliusid. Anterior endophallic sclerites large, broadly rectangular, each with two posterior projections, directed outward, the inner one acuminate. Posterior endophallic sclerites anteriorly slender and acuminate, widening posteriorly. Anterior membranous areas of the phallosome large, each with a dense field of short spines. Females macropterous and brachypterous. Ninth sternum pear-shaped, spermapore large, located posteriorly, partially surrounded posteriorly by a pigmented area anteriorly concave, with posterior border straight.

Male. Color (in 80% ethanol). Body pale brown. Head brown ( Fig. 81 View FIGURES 79‒84 ), color pattern as illustrated; bottom of genae and postgenae cream. Compound eyes dark brown; ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents; anteclypeus and labrum dark brown postclypeus with little marked striae. Antennae: scape and pedicel dark brown, flagellomere 1 cream, apically brown, f2–f11 brown. Maxillary palps: Mx1–Mx3 cream, Mx4 dark brown, cream basally. Thorax brown, propleura cream, tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax brown, meso- and metapleura brown, mesepisternum with cream spot. Legs pale brown: mid- and hind- coxae brown, apically pale brown; fore- coxae brown basally; femora proximally and distally dark brown; tibiae distally dark brown; tarsi 1 pale brown, distally dark brown, tarsi 2 dark brown. Forewings ( Fig. 79 View FIGURES 79‒84 ), hyaline; pterostigma with proximal and distal pale brown bands, veins brown. Hindwings ( Fig. 80 View FIGURES 79‒84 ), hyaline, veins brown. Abdomen pale brown, with subcuticular areas dark brown. Clunium and hypandrium brown. Phallosome with aedeagal arch dark brown, external parameres pale brown, endophallic sclerites brown. Epiproct pale brown, paraprocts brown.

Morphology. As in diagnosis, plus the following: Head: H/MxW: 1.43; compound eyes large, H/d: 3.34; IO/ MxW: 0.67. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with ten denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.08. Forewings ( Fig. 79 View FIGURES 79‒84 ): FW/W: 3.06; pterostigma elongate, wider in the middle: lp/wp: 7.62; areola postica low, elongate: al/ah: 3.50. Hindwings ( Fig. 80 View FIGURES 79‒84 ): HW/w: 3.19. Hypandrium ( Fig. 83 View FIGURES 79‒84 ) narrow, concave posteriorly, a field of macrosetae on each side of the concavity, other setae as illustrated. Phallosome ( Fig. 84 View FIGURES 79‒84 ) convex anteriorly, with a small concavity in the middle; aedeagal arch with short posterior process of rounded apex; external parameres well developed, joined to the side struts basally, with distal processes well developed, approaching the mesal line and aedeagal arch, rounded posteriorly, with pores. Paraprocts ( Fig. 82 View FIGURES 79‒84 ), oval, with setae and macrosetae on distal field; sensory fields with 38–40 trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct ( Fig. 82 View FIGURES 79‒84 ) trapezoidal, rounded posteriorly, with three macrosetae mesally, distal setal field as illustrated.

Female (macropterous). Color (in 80% ethanol). As in the male, plus the following: Subgenital plate cream. Gonapophyses brown. IX sternum pale brown, with posterior process dark brown.

Morphology. As in diagnosis, plus the following: Head: H/MxW: 1.68; compound eyes large, H/d: 4.04; IO/ MxW: 0.66. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with ten denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.06. Forewings ( Fig. 89 View FIGURES 85‒93 ): FW/W: 3.08, pterostigma elongate: lp/wp: 7.62, narrow proximally, wider in the middle; Rs two-branched; M dichotomously branched; areola postica low, elongate: al/ah: 3.50. Hindwings ( Fig. 90 View FIGURES 85‒93 ) HW/w: 3.16. Gonapophyses ( Fig. 88 View FIGURES 85‒93 ): v1 elongate, narrow, acuminate, surpassing v3; v2+3 with long distal process with fine spicules, a field of 14 setae on v3; IX sternum ( Fig. 88 View FIGURES 85‒93 ) oval, short and wide posterior process medially. Paraprocts ( Fig. 91 View FIGURES 85‒93 ), broadly triangular, elongate, with widely rounded apices, abundant setae and macrosetae; sensory fields with ten to eleven trichobothria on basal rosettes. Epiproct elongate, rounded distally, with abundant setae widely distributed, three macrosetae mesally, and a distal setal field.

Female (brachypterous). Color (in 80% ethanol). As in macropterous female, winglets cream.

Morphology. As in macropterous female, plus the following: Head: H/MxW: 1.74; compound eyes large, H/d: 4.04; IO/MxW: 0.65. Without ocelli. Outer cusp of lacinial tips broad, with ten denticles. Mx4/Mx2: 1.05. Winglets ovoid, with setae, veins tenuous ( Fig. 85 View FIGURES 85‒93 ): FW/W: 1.43. Hindwings absent. Legs: tarsi without ctenidobotria. Subgenital plate ( Fig. 92 View FIGURES 85‒93 ) broadly triangular, posterior border truncate in the middle. Gonapophyses, IX sternum, epiproct and paraprocts as in macropterous female. Paraprocts ( Fig. 87 View FIGURES 85‒93 ), sensory fields with six trichobotria on basal rosettes, one of them much longer and thicker than the others.

Etymology. This species is dedicated to Svanhild Büch, heir of the Meremberg Natural Reserve.

Remarks. This species is unique in the genus, in being the only species with macropterous and brachypterous females. The male phallosome shows similarities with that of Gojaoides spiculata Casasola González & García Aldrete.
