Description of Achromobacter aegrifaciens 18S3T11

Cells are Gram-stain-negative, flagellated, and rod shaped. Colonies are circular, convex, opaque, and cream-colored after incubation for 2 days on R2A at 30°C. In API 20NE system, positive for nitrate reduction and esculin hydrolysis; but negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase. L-Arabinose, D-mannose, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, malic acid, trisodium citrate, and phenylacetic acid are utilized as sole carbon sources; while D-glucose and D-mannitol are not. Strain 18S3T11 (= NIBRBAC000509486) was isolated from a sediment soil sample at Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do, Republic of Korea.
