Erlikosmylus Khramov, 2014b View in CoL

Type species. Erlikosmylus obscurus Khramov, 2014b: 56 (by original designation) ( Kyrgyzstan) ( Early Jurassic-Middle Jurassic ) .

Comments. Based on a forewing fragment, the basal part of the wing is missing and thus obscuring the identity of some of the posterior veins important for placing the taxon to subfamily. Overall, the venation of Erlikosmylus is most similar to that of Mesosmylina , and likely it belongs in Mesosmylininae . These genera are distinct if we compare the venation of their type species (cf. Ponomarenko, 1995: fig. 77 and Khramov, 2014b: fig. 3).
