( Figs. 6 View FIGURES 3 – 9 , 11 View FIGURES 10 – 16 , 18 View FIGURES 17 – 23 , 25 View FIGURES 24 – 29 )

Species recognition. Abdominal tergites yellowish, with brown markings. Tergite six lacking posterior row of enlarged setae. Oviscape elongate, narrow, dorsomedian process elongate. This species is most similar to A. mucronatus , but differs by the relatively longer, thinner oviscape.

Description of specimens. Body length 2.4 mm. Frons dark brown, mean frontal width 0.48. Median furrow present. Supra-antennal setae absent. Ventral interfrontal setae closer to midline than eye margin. Ocelli normal sized. Ommatidia normal sized. Flagellomere 1 pyriform, brownish yellow, apically brown. Palpus yellow, normal sized. Scutum brown. Scutellum dark brown, anterior seta small, subequal to posterior setulae of scutum. Pleuron yellowish brown. Anepisternum bare. Wing normal sized, mean costal length 0.40. Halter yellow. Abdominal tergites mostly yellow, but light brown posterolaterally, normal sized. Tergite 6 yellow anteriomedially and brown posterolaterally, about as broad as tergite 5, entire, apical margin straight, with thicker setae posterolaterally. Venter of abdomen whitish yellow. Venter of segment 6 with sclerite covering posterior half of segment, with row of long thick setae. Oviscape elongate oval, anterior process broadly elongate, large lateral setae absent, dorsally bare. Dorsomedian process long, ending near apex of oviscape. Apex broadly truncate, relatively straight, with few small apical setae. Venter with apical sclerite with triangular darkening posterolaterally; separated midventral sclerite elongate oval, with few thin setae near apex. Intersegment 7–8 with short rectangular sclerotization issuing laterally from oviscape. Anterior arms of stylet anteriorly parallel, well separated, relatively flat.

Distribution. Known from a single site in Brazil.

Derivation of specific epithet. Named for the long dorsal process of the oviscape.

Holotype. Brazil: Minas Gerais: Belo Horizonte, Est. Ecol. UFMG, 19.92°S, 43.97°W, 800 m, 15.i.1998, D.Yanega [barcode: LACM ENT 133285] (MZSP).
