( Figs. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 2 , 3 View FIGURES 3 – 9 , 10 View FIGURES 10 – 16 , 17 View FIGURES 17 – 23 , 24 View FIGURES 24 – 29 )

Species recognition. Dorsal process of oviscape short; lateral setae on sternite of segment six longer than medial setae. The long extensions of the intersegmental membrane ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1 – 2 ) are not visible in all specimens, depending on preservation.

Description of specimens. Body length 2.40–2.60 mm. Frons dark brown, mean frontal width 0.46, range 0.45–0.48. Median furrow present. Supra-antennal setae absent. Ventral interfrontal setae closer to midline than eye margin. Ocelli normal sized. Ommatidia normal sized. Flagellomere 1 pyriform, brownish yellow, apically brown. Palpus yellow, normal sized. Scutum light brown. Scutellum light brown, anterior seta about one-half length of posterior seta. Pleuron whitish yellow, except epimeron brown posteroventrally. Anepisternum bare. Wing normal sized, mean costal length 0.45, range 0.44–0.45. Halter with yellow stem and brown knob. Abdominal tergites yellow anteriomedially and brown posterolaterally, normal sized. Tergite 6 about as broad as tergite 5, entire, apical margin straight, with large thick setae posterolaterally. Venter of abdomen whitish yellow. Venter of segment 6 with sclerite covering posterior half of segment, with row of long thick setae, and few smaller anterolaterally. Oviscape elongate oval, anterior process broadly elongate, large lateral setae absent. Dorsomedian process short. Apex broadly truncate, relatively straight, with few hairlike setae posterolaterally. Venter with apical sclerite with triangular darkening posterolaterally; separated midventral sclerite elongate oval, with large group of thin setae near apex. Intersegment 7–8 with long narrow rectangular sclerotization issuing laterally from oviscape. Anterior arms of stylet anteriorly parallel, well separated, relatively flat.

Distribution. Known from a single site in Colombia.

Derivation of specific epithet. Named for the long processes of the intersegmental membrane.
