Etymology. The specific epithet refers to where the type strain was isolated.
Diagnosis. Colony slow-growing on CYA at 37°C, conidiophores biverticillate, conidia subglobose to ellipsoidal with walls finely roughened.
DNA barcodes. ITS KU644580, BenA KU 644581, CaM KU644582.

On CYA 25 °C, 7 d: Colonies nearly circular, protuberant in centers; centers purplish brown, 3–4 mm; margins entire; mycelium pale; texture velutinous; sporulation sparse; conidia en masse greyish green; soluble pigments absent; exudates absent; reverse buff in centers but yellowish white at periphery. On MEA 25 °C, 7 d: Colonies nearly circular, plain; centers dark green; margins entire; mycelium white and yellow; texture floccose; sporulation dense; conidia en masse yellowish green; soluble pigments absent; exudates absent; reverse orange in centers but white at periphery. On YES 25 °C, 7 d: Colonies nearly circular, protuberant in centers; centers grey, 4–5.5 mm; margins entire; mycelium white; texture floccose; sporulation dense; conidia en masse bluish green; soluble pigments absent; exudates absent; reverse orange in centers but yellowish brown to white at periphery. On CZ 25 °C, 7 d: Colonies nearly circular, protuberant in centers; margins wide, 2–3 mm; mycelium pale and light yellow; sporulation moderately dense; conidia en masse green to yellowish green; soluble pigments absent; exudates absent; reverse green in centers but white at periphery. Conidiophores biverticillate; stipes smooth walled, 150–275 × 3–4 μ m; metulae 4–8, divergent, 9–12 × 3–3.5 μ m; phialides acerose, tapering into very thin neck, 3–5 per metula, 10.5–12 × 2.5–3 μ m; conidia subglobose to ellipsoidal, smooth to finely roughened, 2.5–3.5 (–5) × 2.5–3 (–4) μ m.
