Distribution: Eastern China (Jiangsu, Shanghai, Taiwan), Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Vietnam, India (Assam, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Kerala, Meghalaya, Sikkim, West Bengal, Western Himalayas).

Remarks. This is the one of the most widely distributed species of Mantispilla . l Variations in body color have also been observed in this species.
