Material examined. West Azarbaijan province, Piranshahr, 36°42′N 45°10′E, 1♀, summer 2009. New record for Iran.
Distribution outside Iran. Czech Republic (Lozan et al. 2010; Yu et al. 2012 as Leiophron (Peristenus) nitida ), Germany ( Shenefelt 1969; Yu et al. 2012 as Leiophron (Peristenus) nitida ), Hungary ( Papp 2006, 2008; Yu et al. 2012 as Leiophron (Peristenus) nitida ), Mongolia, Norway ( Yu et al. 2012 as Leiophron (Peristenus) nitida ), Turkey (Yilmaz et al. 2012; Güçlü and Özbek 2011; Yu et al. 2012 as Leiophron (Peristenus) nitida ), UK ( Shenefelt 1969; Yu et al. 2012 as Leiophron (Peristenus) nitida ).
Host records. Closterotomus norvegicus (Gmelin) ( Hemiptera : Miridae ) ( Yu et al. 2012).
