Distribution in Iran. Golestan (Samin et al. 2015), Hormozgan ( Ameri et al. 2014), Mazandaran ( Ghahari et al. 2010a; Sedighi and Madjdzadeh 2015).
Distribution outside Iran. Frequent to common in western Palaearctic region ( Papp 2003a). Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Canary Islands, China, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Moldova, Poland, Sweden, Taiwan ( Yu et al. 2012), Greece ( Papp 2003a; Yu et al. 2012), Ireland ( Broad and Shaw 2009; Yu et al. 2012), Russia ( Tobias 1971; Yu et al. 2012), Turkey ( Koldaş et al. 2007, 2013; Yilmaz et al. 2010; Güçlü and Özbek 2011; Yu et al. 2012), UK ( Marshall 1889 as Liophron lituratus ; Yu et al. 2012), Ukraine ( Yu et al. 2012).
Host records. The following hosts are recorded for Allurus lituratus (Haliday) : Sitona crinita (Herbst) , S.
inops Gyllenhal, S. lepidus Gyllenhal , S. lineata (Linnaeus) , S. scissifrons Say ( Coleoptera : Curculionidae ) ( Koldaş et al. 2007; Yu et al. 2012).
