Distribution in Iran. Golestan (Samin et al. 2015 as Perilitus (Microctonus) stelleri Loan, 1972 ), Guilan ( Farahani et al. 2013b; Sedighi and Madjdzadeh 2015), Isfahan ( Ghahari et al. 2010b; Sedighi and Madjdzadeh 2015).
Distribution outside Iran. Distributed sporadically in the Palearctic region ( Belokobylskij 2000). Bulgaria, Denmark, France, Germany, Lithuania, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey ( Koldaş et al. 2007; Yilmaz et al. 2010; Yu et al. 2012 as Perilitus stelleri ), Hungary, Russia (Papp 2011–2012; Yu et al. 2012 as Perilitus stelleri ), Israel (Papp 2011–2012), Mongolia ( Papp 1967 as Microctonus aethiops, 2005 ; Yu et al. 2012 as Perilitus stelleri ).
Host records. Hypera nigrirostris (Fabricius) , H. postica (Gyllenhal) , H. variabilis Herbst ( Coleoptera : Curculionidae ) ( Yu et al. 2012).
