Type host. Pinus oocarpa Schiede (Pinaceae) .
Type locality. Brasília (Jardim Botânico) , Distrito Federal , Brazil .
Relationship to host plant. No symptoms were seen. It is not possible to inform if mites were vagrants, since the beating method was used for detection of the mites from pine needles ( Flechtmann & Navia 1998).
Remarks. Only known from the type host/locality.
Type host plants status. Naturalized tree, occurring in Cerrado and Mata Atlântica biomes ( Gaglioti 2020). Widely cultivated in southeastern Brazil for the production of wood and also as an ornamental for landscape use ( Lorenzi et al. 2003).
