Remark. Genus only known from Brazil.

Type host. Heteropteris anoptera Juss. (Malpighiaceae) , presently referred as Heteropterys eglandulosa A. Juss. (Malpighiaceae) ( Flora do Brasil 2020).
Type locality. Luis Antônio (21°36’13”S, 47°47’17”W), São Paulo, Brazil GoogleMaps .
Relationship to host plant. Vagrants on leaves ( Flechtmann 2004b).
Remark. Only known from the type host/locality.
Type host plant status. Native shrub, not endemic (Tropicos 2020; Flora do Brasil 2020) occurring in Caatinga and Cerrado biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020).

Relationship to host plant. Erineum galls on leaf lower surface ( Flechtmann 2004b).
Remarks. Type species in the genus Athrix . Only known from the type host/locality.
Type host plant status. Native climbing, not endemic, occurring in Mata Atlântica biome ( Flora do Brasil 2020) .
