Type locality. Parque Nacional do ltatiaia, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil .
Relationship to host plant. Vagrants mites on the lower leaf surface; the infested leaves showed bronzing ( Flechtmann 1996).
Remark. Only known from the type host/locality.
Type host plants status. Native herb, subshrub, not endemic, widely distributed in Amazônia , Caatinga , Cerrado , Mata Atlântica and Pantanal biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020) .

Type host. Piptadenia gonoacantha (Mart.) Macbr. ( Leguminosae , Mimosaceae ), presently considered as belonging to Fabaceae family ( Flora do Brasil 2020).

Relationship to host plant. Vagrants on the underside of leaflets, causing no apparent symptoms. Eggs are laid in domatia where the mite molts. The domatia are shared with mites of the families Tydeidae and Stigmaeidae ( Flechtmann & Moraes 2002b) .
Remark. Only known from the type host/locality.
Type host plants status. Native tree, not endemic, occurring in Cerrado and Mata Atlântica biomes ( Flora do Brasil 2020) .

Recife (8º01’07”S, 34º56’41”W), Pernambuco, Brazil. Relationship to host plant. Vagrants, causing slight russeting in leaves ( Britto et al. 2007). Additional localities in Brazil. Cruz das Almas (Noronha et al. 2010), Bahia . Type host plants status. Exotic fruit shrub, widely cultivated in all tropical regions of the country ( Lorenzi et al. 2006); fruits known for their high C vitamin content and are widely used to prepare juices ( Araújo et al.
2004).

Type host plants status. Exotic liana/scandent/vine, cultivated as a creeping ornamental, often being used to cover vertical surfaces, such as walls and concrete structures ( Lorenzi & Souza 2001).
