Fourteen species of Licuala were recognized from Vietnam by Henderson (2009). We now consider one of these, L. paludosa Griffith (1844: 323) , was based on a misidentification.Another species was added by Henderson et al. (2010). Here we describe six new species, bringing the number for the country to 20, 19 of which are endemic to Vietnam.
