Redescription. Adult ( Fig. 6 View FIGURES 1 – 10 ) with forewing expanse 9.0 mm. Head with frons and vertex white, occiput ochreous brown. Labial palpus with second palpomere ochreous yellow, third palpomere white in basal 2/5, black in distal 3/5. Antenna with scape white except black dorsoapically; flagellum white alternated with black. Thorax and tegula ochreous brown. Forewing ochreous brown before second fascia, deep ochreous yellow after second fascia except black at apex; with two parallel white fascia, edged with black scales laterally: basal fascia from base of fold oblique to dorsum, second fascia from costal 1/4 obliquely outward to dorsal 2/5, its anterior 1/3 wider than posterior 2/3, its outer margin edged with cloudy ochreous yellow; costa with a large white round spot beyond 2/3, extending to lower corner of cell, bordered by black scales except along costal margin; black streak diffused and curved from tornus upward to beneath costal spot; cilia pale ochreous yellow except brown along distal part of costa and dorsum. Hindwing and cilia brown. Fore leg with femur and tibia grayish yellow on ventral surface, blackish brown with white markings on dorsal surface, tarsi with ventral surface grayish yellow, dorsal surface blackish brown except grayish yellow at apex of first tarsomere and on second tarsomere; mid leg grayish yellow on ventral surface, tarsi blackish brown with white stripes on dorsal surface; hind leg with femur grayish yellow ventrally, brown dorsally, tibia brown, tarsi grayish yellow on ventral surface, pale yellow on dorsal surface except basal part of first tarsomere blackish brown.

Male genitalia ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ). Uncus broad triangular, gradually narrowed from base to rounded apex. Gnathos heavily sclerotized, narrow rectangular, blunt at apex; lateral arms banded, about same length as gnathos. Tegumen branched from posterior 1/3, narrowed to apex laterally. Valva with basal 3/5 wide, subparallel, gradually narrowed from 3/5 to 4/5; distal 1/5 produced to a subcrescentic process, its dorsal margin concave, ventral margin weakly arched, with one larger and two to three tooth-like denticles; sacculus narrow, almost uniform, incurvate in V shape at dorsal 2/3, distally produced to a free setose racket-shaped process about half length of sacculus, slender and uniform in basal half, swollen elliptically in distal half. Saccus slightly longer than valva, narrowed from base to 1/3, distal 2/3 uniform, rounded apically. Juxta subrectangular; lateral lobes stout, same length of juxta. Phallus approximately 1.5 times length of valva, apically with a projection ( Figs. 15 View FIGURES 11 – 15 a-b) bearing a stout spine; cornutus clubbed, about 2/5 length of phallus, truncate basally, bearing dense short stout spines apically.

Female genitalia ( Fig. 24 View FIGURES 20 – 27 ). Apophysis anterioris about 3/5 length of apophysis posterioris. Lamella postvaginalis semicircular, weakly sclerotized, with sparse setae; lamella antevaginalis large domed process, produced anterolaterally. Antrum rectangular, approximately half length of ductus bursae. Ductus bursae membranous, wider and longer than antrum, with dense spines posteriorly, scattered to anterior 1/5 laterally. Corpus bursae elliptic, granular; signum absent.

Distribution. China (Hainan), Vietnam.

Remarks. Kim et al. (2014) described P. caperatiella Kim et Park, 2014 based on female specimens from Vietnam. Here we describe the male for the first time.
