( Figs. 7 View FIGURES 1–10 , 73–80 View FIGURES 71–85 ; Tab. 2 View TABLE 2 )

Eggs barrel-shaped; operculum circular and convex; pigmented chorion white with two red round bands: one subapical, before the crown of aero-micropylar processes, and another at the operculum disc ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 1–10 ). Chorion surface reticulated, less conspicuous at the light stereomicroscope due to chorion pigmentation. Aero-micropylar processes translucent, long, and enlarged at apex.

In SEM, chorion sculpture pattern sharply reticulated ( Fig. 73 View FIGURES 71–85 ), with regular hexagonal cells of fringed border overall lateral wall of egg ( Fig. 74 View FIGURES 71–85 ). Cells slightly depressed, but with a wide central area resembling a hole ( Fig. 75 View FIGURES 71–85 ); small acute spine-like projections, variable in size, delimiting the cells ( Figs. 75, 76 View FIGURES 71–85 ). Chorion projections filiform and very long overall anterior pole ( Figs. 77, 78 View FIGURES 71–85 ). Aero-micropylar processes cup-shaped: a long cylindrical base and an enlarged apex, bearing a wide central hole ( Fig. 79 View FIGURES 71–85 ). In larger magnification, aero-micropylar processes wall, surrounding the central channel, with spongy texture ( Fig. 80 View FIGURES 71–85 ).
