Eupithecia rubellata Dietze, 1904 View in CoL , Deutsche Entomologische Zeitung, Iris [1903] 16 (2): 337, taf. 3, figs 3–5. Syntypes 3♂, 10♀ (coll. O. Staudinger and R. Püngeler in MNHU, examined). Central Asia [ China]: Korla, Sinin, Aksu, Chines. West Turkestan.

Eupithecia invenusta Vojnits, 1977 View in CoL , Acta zoologica Academiae Scientiarum Hungaricae 23 (3–4): 472, figs 9, 11. Holotype ♂ (TTM, examined), Mongolia: Gobi Altaj aimak, Chasat chajrchan ul Mts. (20 km S of Somon Zargalant) (synonymised in Mironov, 1990).

A handsome variable species, which is impossible to confuse with any other, and which occurs widely in Central Asia from the Ladakh Range and Tibet ( Mironov et al., 2008a) to Mongolia. It was first added to the fauna of Mongolia as E. invenusta Vojnits. View in CoL The male and female genitalia of this species were described and illustrated in de Laever (1960). Mongolia: Govi-Altai aimag.
