Range:— Mountains from Costa Rica to Venezuela and Bolivia (CO, LP).

Ecology:— Uncommon; terrestrial in humid forests, forming rosettes on wet rocks, rock walls, and mossy banks, rarely epiphytic; 1700–3250 m.

Notes:— Unlike any other species of Amauropelta and superficially resembling some species of Asplenium . The leaves are usually arching, rooting from buds produced distally on the rachises.
