Remarks. Valid marine species. Vijayalakshmi & Venugopalan (1972) investigated the biological aspects of this species.

Distribution. Along coasts of all continents ( Korovchinsky 2004).

Remarks. P. bidentata is a valid Neotropical taxon described from the USA ( Herrick 1884). All Indian records are misidentifications. Probably they are in reality P. szalayi ( Daday, 1898) .
