Type data
Cockerell (1919) described this species based on a single female specimen collected by William Rosenberg, the same collector of the type specimen of C. calloxantha (see below). The holotype ( Fig. 27 View Fig ) is housed at NMNH and has the following data label: Palcazu Peru [printed]\ [?] Rosenberg [printed]\ Centris pachysoma Ckll. Type. Type locality
Peru: Pasco Department: Palcazú.
