Types. Male holotype from Parque Nacional da Serra do Divisor, Cruzeiro do Sul, Acre, Brazil [07°40’S, 72°39’W], 20.III.1997, L. Resende & S. Vieira leg. ( IBSP 12253 View Materials ). Paratype: one female, same locality and data as holotype ( MCTP 33352 View Materials ) GoogleMaps .
Etymology. The specific name is a noun and refers to the type locality.
Diagnosis. The males of T. acreana sp. nov. ( Fig. 130) resemble those of T. onca sp. nov. in the divided apex of the median apophysis ( Fig. 112), but can be distinguished by a prolateral expansion on the median apophysis ( Fig. 131), by the short and thick tip of the ental branch of RTA ( Fig. 132) and by the blunt projection at the base of EnB ( Fig. 133, white arrow). The females resemble those of T. caracarai sp. nov. ( Fig. 119) in the excavated middle field of the epigynum, but can be distinguished by the wider copulatory ducts and slender head of spermathecae ( Fig. 135).
