Agrilus mutabilis Waterhouse View in CoL
HGO, Parc. Nac. Los Marmoles, 4.8 km N Trancas, 20°49’15”N, 99°15’28”W, 1905 m, 20-VII-99; PUE, 4-5 km SSE Chila, 17°57’, 98°07’, 1770-1830 m, 5/ 7-VII-92, RLWE. This widely ranging species is highly variable. Further study may show it to be polytypic or to represent a species complex. Based on the first author’s experience, it seems to be associated with the genus Acacia, as are so many species of Agrilus in Mexico.
