Parthenogenetic female short description. Body rounded ( Fig. 15A View FIGURE 15. A – F ), with convex ventral margin, head and valves without keel. Valves without a sculpture. Posteroventral angle of valves without denticles. Rostrum short, truncated, with clear lateral notch at the base. Main head pores absent, lateral head pores located very close to each other, minute, with bean-shaped cavities under them ( Fig. 15B View FIGURE 15. A – F ). Labral keel of moderate width, with a convex anterior margin and rounded apex; usually with several small denticles in lower portion ( Fig. 15C View FIGURE 15. A – F ) and without clusters of setulae on posterior margin.

Postabdomen ( Fig. 15D View FIGURE 15. A – F ) elongated, strongly narrowing distally in postanal portion, with rounded distal angle; length about 2.5–3 heights in Asian species. Preanal and postanal angles well-defined. Postanal denticles very small. Postanal lateral groups with very long and thick distalmost setule; in distalmost groups length of setulae about two widths the base of postabdominal claw. Postabdominal claw short, weakly curved, with basal spine of variable length.

Antennule without lateral aesthetasc; all terminal aesthetascs of similar length. Antennal seta arising from a well-defined tubercule. Antenna ( Fig. 15E View FIGURE 15. A – F ) with thin seta on basal segment of endopodite. Spine on basal segment of exopodite very short. Spines on apical segments about 1/4 the length of apical segments. IDL of limb I with three setae ( Fig. 15F View FIGURE 15. A – F ); seta 1 of moderate size, armed with thick spinulae, seta 2–3 thick, armed with strong spinules.
