Leucospis Fabricius, 1775: 361 View in CoL . Type species: Leucospis dorsigera Fabricius, 1775 View in CoL , by monotypy.

In the present study, Leucospis vanharteni is included in the key, because it is known from the Arabian Peninsula ( UAE), and so is excepted to occur in the southern part of Saudi Arabia as well.

Diagnosis

Clypeus bilobed at free margin, with a tooth in between; mandible stout, bare at apex, with strong lower tooth; pronotum with transverse, strong or weak carinae; hind coxa sometimes with dorsal tooth or lobe; hind femur with ventral tooth present before middle of its length; gaster more or less slender; GT4 of female not elevated backwardly, more or less straight; GT6 separated from epipygium; GT2 of male short and transverse; lateral ocelli distinctly separated from eyes (Bou Č ek 1974a; Grissell and Schauff 1997). Species of this genus are cosmopolitan in distribution (Bou Č ek 1974a; Noyes 2016).
