Treatment

This is a rarely occurring species in Slovakia. To date, E. novemcarinata was reported from backwaters of the Danube near Čičov ( Matis & Tirjaková 1992) and from branches of the Danube at the localities Bodícka brána and Dunajské kriviny ( Matis & Tirjaková 1995).
