Type species: Xorides nitens Gravenhorst, 1829 .

Neoxorides View in CoL is a small Holarctic genus comprising twelve species ( Yu et al. 2016; Johansson & Klopfstein 2020). The Western Palaearctic fauna of the genus was recently revised by Johansson & Klopfstein (2020). Three species of Neoxorides View in CoL were known to occur in the Nearctic region north of Mexico hitherto ( Townes & Townes 1960: 390; Carlson 1979: 352), and one undescribed species of Neoxorides View in CoL is described from Central Mexico in this paper. This is the first record of the genus from Mexico and the southernmost finding of Neoxorides View in CoL in the world.

Species of Neoxorides View in CoL are known as idiobiont parasitoids of xylophagous Coleoptera View in CoL ( Townes & Townes 1960; Carlson 1979; Johansson & Klopfstein 2020).
