Cyrtonota sexpustulata (Fabricius, 1781)

Distribution. Brazil (Distrito Federal, Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo).

Remarks. HංඇർΚඌ (1956) recorded this species from Peru (Tinjo [= Tingo] Maria, v.1938, F. Tippmann) but noted that the data may be erroneous. Based on the available material, C. sexpustulata is primarily distributed in eastern Brazil and thus very unlikely in Peru. The specimen must have been mislabelled, and C. sexpustulata is removed from the fauna of Peru.
