Genus Parholaspella Krantz, 1960

Dorsal shield bearing 30 pairs of smooth setae (weakly spatulate distally in P. spatulata ). Pre-sternal area with one pair of elongated pre-sternal platelets. Sternal shield with three pairs of smooth setae. Metasternal shields fused to endopodal shields and bearing metasternal setae st4. Genital shield with one pair of genital setae st5. Peritrematal shields fused to exopodal shields, and with sternal shield between coxae I–II. Ventrianal shield subtriangular, with three or four pairs of pre-anal setae. Epistome with a median projection and without long lateral extensions; lateral margin with short projections. Chelicera chelate-serrate, fixed digit with several small teeth between two large teeth, movable digit with 9–16 small teeth between two large teeth. Cheliceral seta smooth. Femur IV in female with or without spur. Males similar to female, but with a holoventral shield.
